Blaisdail Center (March 1, 2002) -- The Raiders went into the State Tournament third in the ILH and with twelve wrestlers qualifying to wrestle. Although unexpected by some, Iolani wrestled hard and came out of the first day within striking distance for the title of State Champions. In a race that seemed much like the ILH tournament the week before, (though this time without the pre-tournament points earned in dual meets,) Punahou was in the lead, though not by much, followed by Iolani, Saint Louis and Kamehameha, with no more than three points separating the top three. The three other ILH teams were ready for battle to knock off the defending state champion. MORE
